JAGDA Textbooks "VISUAL DESIGN"
Although Japan has numerous design schools, high-quality textbooks formerly were rare and usually lacked systematized editorial policies. There has always been a need for superior textbooks keeping abreast of the times. Accordingly, JAGDA undertook to produce a textbook featuring "live methods" drawn from the actual scene of design. More than 200 designers and professionals took part in the editing, and many supplied their own writing and graphic work. Thus a textbook like no other on earth was completed.
Valued for its quality, abundant content and detailed explanations, "VISUAL DESIGN" is used at design schools throughout Japan. It has also attracted international attention, as Korea and Taiwan in 1994 each published their own language version (Vols. 1 to 3). The textbooks aim to be a leader of design, periodically revised to reflect the transition in modern design.
